Ezra was a dear friend and roommate of mine at UAlbany. We became close after meeting at the GSRC and I offered the free space I had in my doorm. We bonded over shared interests and mutual friends spending most of our shared college days together. Unfortunately we weren't as close in recent years but ran into each other a few times and caught up online when we could. I first met sweet Ellen when she was a child, and over the years, I had the privilege of witnessing glimpses of her as she grew and became the person she aspired to be. Diane was a devoted mother who loved Ezra deeply and supported her as best she could. Mental illness is a painful and heavy burden for any family to carry. Ezra was a gentle soul, they never drank or used drugs, and they would never have hurt anyone. They lived with a difficult illness and faced inner struggles each day with...

They were a beautiful child and so deeply loved by their mom . I knew them as Ella , and later as El and they were kind and quirky and a fierce friend to my Erin . Rest sweet one , yours is a light that cannot disappear.
