Fa'atamali'i's Obituary

Fa’atamali’i Sema Pritchard, beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in Morgan Hill, California, at age 86. Born in Apia, Samoa, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother known for her generous spirit and open heart. An accomplished entrepreneur and baker, she operated multiple businesses while serving her community through nursing and faith. Fa’atamali’i held an unwavering love for her homeland and proudly represented American Samoa in the 1963 South Pacific Mini Games. This was only one of countless and memorable expressions of her love for Samoa.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Pritchard, and her loving parents, Liva Ah Loe Lamositele (mom) and Sema Faualo (dad), as well as her siblings Se’e and Lupe. Fa’atamali’i leaves behind a profound legacy of family, faith, and care. Fa’atamali’i is survived by 4 daughters, including Elena, Sofia (Sau), Kishon, and the youngest Schechinah, and 8 sons, Elioenai, Aziza, Andrew (Faamao), Kurt, Benaiah, El-Shaddai,Ibbha, and Shiloh, as well as the daughters she helped raise with maternal love, Repeka, Liva, and Ana. Her nurturing spirit extended across generations, embracing a host of 45 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, each of whom inherit her strength, warmth, and sense of purpose. She is also remembered by her siblings Nanai Tiavolo, Tinousi, Ailini, Tiava, Su’e, David, and Tala, who stood by her through seasons of joy and sorrows, bound together by shared memories, faith, and the values passed down from their parents.

Her legacy of love and service will always be with us. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
