Not sure what to say?

I thought of Father Enrique today and I am saddened to learn that he has passed. I was just thinking that I would like to go visit him at his parish. Like many others, I had the great pleasure of working with Father Enrique while my husband and I prepared to marry at St Alphonsus Church. He was a fierce theologian, as well as a great human being and servant of Christ. Tony and I miss you, may you rest in eternal peace.

It is with sadness that I learned of the passing into eternal life of Father Enrique. As a young priest at American Martyrs in Manhattan Beach he often visited me to enquire about the priesthood. Like myself Fr. Enrique was older and believed he had a vocation to the priesthood. I told him that leaving a job was difficult and to give it a lot of thought and prayer. The rest is history. We spoke many times over the years and I considered him a wonderful man and priest. I will miss his joy,...

Father Enrique was not only our pastor at St. Alphonsus Church, he was a dear friend. He baptized my son, which made it more personal. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed a good laugh. We used to joke because my husband is a UPS driver and he worked for FedEx. I'll miss our outings of going out to dinner after the Easter vigil mass. He was very passionate about Safeguard the Children. I will miss his smile, his friendship and his love towards Christ. We love you Fr. Enrique and we...

Father Enrique was a wonderful man and a great priest. He was very generous and always ready to teach the Good News of Jesus Christ and he was loving, caring and interesting. Father was a great friend. I will miss him and his knowledge, Faith and friendship and will always be grateful for his teaching and care.

Father Enrique had such a great. He made me and my family feel at home and welcome when we first met him. He had such a sense of humor that could brighten up anyone's day. He will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed.

I first met Fr. Enrique during his Intern year when he came to St. Teresa of Avila Parish. He was always involved with the parishioners and students at the school. He returned as our Associate Pastor and we were able to really see Fr. Enrique as the compassionate priest he was. He always had that comforting smile and was positive in all of his encounters with our Parish/School community.
We pray for Fr. Enrique and his family and pray that he rest in peace.

Thank you Fr. Enrique for always having a sweet smile and patient word for everyone . I 'll never forget Fr. walking up the church aisle at the beginning and end of each mass, enthusiastically waving at every child in the pew, and even adults. I will also cherish a particular confession I had with him, and how it changed how I saw him, and how I was to respond to conflicts in my own walk of life. God bless you for always being so kind to Harrison and the St. Elizabeth school kids, and also...

Fr. Enrique De Los Rios was a valued Friend and compasionate Priest. His example and Guidance was wonderful. He waved and greeted all in Chuech and was so filled with the Faith he proclaimed. We will miss his cheerful demeanor
