I met Faye many years ago through Clarice at the Elks. We made many trips to the VA in Salem to play bingo with the Veterans. She always had a big smile when I saw her and i will truly miss her sweet personality. Rest in peace, sweet Faye!♥

Faye G. Wright, 75, of Bassett, Virginia, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on May 21, 1950, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late John Robert Gusler and Evelyn Hill Gusler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wright, and her brother, John R. “Bobby” Gusler.
Faye had a deep love for animals, especially the birds and squirrels in her neighborhood, whom she faithfully fed every day. She also cherished time spent with her family and friends and found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life.
She is survived by her beloved stepchildren: Shannon Whitlow (Billy), Trish Robertson, Kevin D. Wright (Christy), and Sara Wright. She is also survived by her siblings: sisters Carol G. Parker, Deborah G. Brown, Donna G. Thompson, and Melissa Gusler; and brother Sam S. Gusler. Faye also leaves behind numerous step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, her cherished fur child, Chester, and a host of other extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
