Fayetta Slater

     Fayetta Slater, 86 of Turkey Creek, KY, went  to her heavenly home Tuesday, August 26, 2025.  Faye was born September 14, 1938 to the late Robert and Nancy Farley.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Slater; her son, Gary Slater, three sisters, Ruth Cochran, Bonnie Miracle and Martha Sesco, and granddaughter, Tammy Reed Ratliff.       She is survived by four children; Danny (Kim) Slater of Wyandotte, MI, Dean (Gail) Slater of Turkey Creek, KY, Donna (Dwayne) Marcum of Turkey Creek, KY,  Bennie (Karen) Slater of Berea, KY; one daughter-in-law, Carol Slater of Hatfield, KY; 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Taylor of Turkey Creek, KY.     Faye was a member of the Big Creek FWB Church and loved the Lord with all her heart.  She loved being surrounded by her family and friends, playing cards, drinking coffee and sharing lots of laughs.     Visitation will be held Sunday, August 31, 2025 from 6 - 9 pm at the Big Creek FWB Church.  Funeral will be held Monday, September 1, 2025 at 11 am at the Big Creek FWB church with her son, Danny Slater officiating.  Burial will follow at the Reed Cemetery, Turkey Creek, KY, with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers.  R.
