Fidencio Guerrero

With love and remembrance, the family of Fidencio M. Guerrero announce his passing on September 16, 2025, at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson, California. Don Fidencio was 97 years old.

He was born on February 15, 1928, in San Antonio, Texas, and raised in Ebano, Mexico. Returning to the U.S., Fidencio and his wife, Diega settled in Blissfield, MI raising their children to adulthood. He worked at Akzo Chemical Inc. from 1968 to 1993 and was given an Achievement Award for 25 years of continuous service and perfect attendance. Upon his retirement in 1993, he moved to Patterson, Ca. where he’d been a resident for 32 years. Don Fidencio lived a long fulfilling life defined by hard work, simple joys, and a love for his family. He was a man who found meaning in working with his hands whether it be tending to his garden or tinkering in his shed; he took pride in his labors. His love of Rummy kept his mind sharp through his aging years.

Don Fidencio is survived by his loving family, sons, Pete (Nora) Guerrero of Wisconsin, and Jose (Michelle) Guerrero of Brentwood; daughters, Lucia (Michael) Page of Michigan, Juana (Paul) Albanelli of Michigan, and Irma (Robert) Rodriguez of Patterson; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diega Guerrero; infant son, David Guerrero; infant daughter, Esperanza Guerrero; his parents, Domingo and Leona Guerrero; three brothers and three sisters.

A Visitation was held at 9:00 am, followed by a Rosary at 9:30 am and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Interment was held at Patterson District cemetery.
