Grandma, you will be missed. You got me into watching birds when I was younger, and it’s still a favorite pass time. We love you❤

Flora “Beth” Parks (Malone), age 90 of Pearsall, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home early Sunday morning, February 22, 2026.
Beth was born on October 25, 1935, in Pearsall to Lonnie and Janie Malone. The eldest of three daughters, she was raised in Pearsall and remained there through her high school years. Soon after graduation, she met the love of her life, Gene Parks, at First Baptist Church in Pearsall. From the beginning, they shared a deep and abiding love, building a life together that spanned more than 64 years until Gene’s passing in 2019.
As a child, Beth faced the challenges of polio, yet her resilience and determination shaped a life marked by devotion and quiet strength. She lovingly raised four children and created a home filled with warmth and welcome. At the age of ten, she began sewing—despite her mother’s initial objections—and it grew into a lifelong passion. She was an avid reader who delighted in her favorite authors and treasured time spent with a good book. Beth also found joy in birdwatching from her kitchen windows, easily identifying nearly every bird that graced her yard. In later years, she enjoyed working puzzles, often sharing the experience with family and friends who gathered around her puzzle table.
She is survived by her children and their families: Karen Parks of Pearsall, Texas; Gene Parks of Pearsall, Texas; Teresa “Terri” Dikeman and husband Dave of Amarillo, Texas; and Lee Parks and wife Julie of Syracuse, Kansas. She is also survived by her sisters, Patsy Malone of Pearsall, Texas and Minnie Baker of Timpson, Texas, as well as her sister-in-law, Jody Faseler of Yancy, Texas.
Beth’s legacy continues through her eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dave Dikeman, Dee Montgomery, Clayton Montgomery, Jared Parks, Levi Parks, Brent Parks, Gary Parks, and Van Samsel. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Parks, Lee Parks, Cody Dikeman, Wayne Parks, Scott Hill, Chad Hill, and Roger Faseler.
Visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Peter’s Funeral Home in Cotulla, Texas. A graveside celebration of life will take place at Pearsall Cemetery in Pearsall, Texas at 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Pearsall, Texas.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Cardinal Hospice of South Texas for the compassionate care shown to Beth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Pearsall.
Though her physical presence is no longer with us, Beth’s faith, love, and steady spirit remain a lasting gift to all who knew her. Her memory will continue to guide and comfort her family in the days ahead.
