Floyd “Robin” A. Wilcox Sr., 66, of Chester, Maine died Sunday night with his family by his side after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis and most recently a tough fight with cancer.Robin, born on April 28, 1952, the son of Emma N. (Powers) Ireland and the late Floyd W. Wilcox, was a lifelong resident of the Lincoln area. He graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1970. Following graduation, he settled in the Lincoln area with his wife, Debbie J. (Archer) Wilcox. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in June.Surviving in addition to his wife, Debbie J. (Archer) Wilcox, are two daughters, Sandy Pelletier and her husband Jason and their son Devon of Medford, Gwyn Wilcox and her fiancé Shermonte Brooks of Fort Worth, TX; two sons, Floyd A. Wilcox Jr. and Crystal Landry and their children Lance, Cody, Dylan and Dylanie, Justin Wilcox and his wife Tera who are expecting his first granddaughter, Kenzington Marie, in December. Robin is further survived by his brother David Ireland and his wife Christine of Ashland, and several nieces and nephews. Robin was a retired self-employed Truck Driver who spent his life working hard to support his wife and family. He had many interests over the years but became particularly passionate about the weather. He spent many hours virtually traveling around the world from the comfort of his favorite computer chair. He will be fondly remembered by many, especially by his grandchildren, as “Grumpy Grampy”.At Robin’s request, no services will be held
