Floyd's Obituary

Floyd I. Rulason age 91 of Owosso passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Ovid Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel. Pastor James Bare will be officiating. Burial will follow to Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Floyd was born June 29, 1925 in Saginaw, MI a son of George and Louise (Boise) Rulason. On April 21, 1991 he married Rose Marie Behnke. Floyd was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, flowers, working in his yard and playing jokes on people. Prior to his retirement in 1989 he had been employed by Redmond's for many years. After retirement, he and his wife worked for Pleasant View for a few years.Floyd is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; children, Sandy Yerian, Nancy (Bill) Runyan, and Linda (Glenn) Spencer; step-children, Brenda Burns, Bill (Leslie) Burns Jr., and Scott Burns; 6 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Louise. He was preceded in death by both of his late wife Jean Rulason; both of his parents; son-in-law, Orville Yerian; and siblings, Martha, Cora, Carmen, and Vernon.Memorial Contributions are suggested to the family at this time.
