I was shocked to hear of Fr Tom’s passing.
I have know Fr Tom since 1989 when he was the pastor of St. Anthony’s in Falls Church, VA.
We have been friends for 35 years and I am so deeply sad that he passed as I spoke to him in April and he was very upbeat as usual.
My deepest sympathy to his family!

Fr. Tom and my brother Bob Hafner joined the Seminary together after they graduated from the 8th grade at Our Lady of Mercy School, in Dayton Ohio. They were childhood friends and both were ordained together. Our families were close, and became even more close when Fr. Tom's father passed away early into his years at Brunnerdale. We would take his mother, Marie and sister Karen with us on visitor Sundays so they could spend time with Tom. Our family were long time friends. I will miss his...
