Frances A. Bohne, 86 of Salem, NH passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Elias J. and Julia Maloof.Mrs. Bohne was a 54 year resident of Salem. She owned and operated the Green Barn Restaurant with her husband William from 1969 to 2004. She loved people and loved her job as hostess for the restaurant. Mrs. Bohne was a bubbly, loving, caring, outgoing, social woman who could be a joker at times as well. She was compassionately a very generous woman who gave everything she could to others and mentored others as well. It was never about her, always about everyone else, a great quality for a loving wife and mother to have.She is survived by her husband of 51 years; William A. Bohne of Salem, two sons; Gus Bohne and his wife Terri of Salem and Carl Bohne and his wife Margaret of Atkinson, NH. She is also survived by numerous loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers.Following cremation visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem.
