FRANCES's Obituary

FRANCES MARIE BANDA, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 12:05 a.m. She was 75 years old. Born on January 14, 1950, to Victoria and Eliseo Banda, Fran was one of eight siblings. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Al Banda (Micky), Mary Carney (Rich), Bob Banda, Lucy Banda (Jim), Grace Banda, Jane Banda, and Vicki Banda. Fran was a woman of strength, independence, and unwavering faith. A devoted sister and loyal friend, she was known for her sharp wit, infectious laughter, and compassionate heart. Her sense of humor lit up every room, and her laughter often became the soundtrack of family gatherings. A lifelong cat lover, Fran provided a caring home to many feline companions over the years. Her deep empathy for animals reflected her gentle and nurturing nature. In both her everyday life and her relationships, she embodied grace, love, and kindness. Though not a frequent gambler, Fran had a soft spot for the energy and sparkle of Las Vegas. She believed in living a life of balance—often finishing a workout with a well-earned ice cream from the shop next to the gym, a habit that summed up her joyful and down-to-earth spirit. Fran will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the laughter she inspired, the compassion she shared, and the unwavering loyalty she gave so freely. Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brook Park Rd, Cleveland, OH 44142. PLEASE MEET INSIDE FRONT GATE. A small reception will follow at Fiesta Latina, 6863 W 130th St, Parma Heights, OH 44130.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Fran’s name to the Cleveland Animal Protective League, honoring her lifelong love of animals.
