We last saw Francie when she was in her late 80's and were amazed at her vitality, mental sharpness and zest for life at that point in her life. Having her for such a long time was a gift for you; we are sure you will miss her deeply. Sending you our condolences. Mark and Mary Lou Miller

Although I only had the opportunity to spend time with Auntie Frances during her visits to Malta, she was a big positive influence when I was growing up due to her inner strength, sense independence, creativity and generosity .

I had the honor of bringing Frances communion as a Homebound Minister from Our Lady of Lakes Catholic Church. I only knew Frances for such a short time yet it felt like I knew her forever. She shared her love for Jesus, her Catholic faith, her family, seafood, the sea and her beloved home in Malta. She left a beautiful imprint in my heart. I only met Frances a few times, but she left a lasting impression on me.
The first time was over 15 years ago at Big Chief Coney in Pontiac. I heard her voice and immediately recognized her Maltese accent. I'd lived in Malta for three years and couldn’t resist starting a conversation. She was kind, open, and warm.

Later, through a school carpool, I discovered she was the neighbor who crocheted beautiful sweaters for one of the children. It was such a joy to reconnect. She...
