Dr. Abessinio, I was your patient for many years from high school in the 1980s through college up until I was a young adult. I recall last seeing you in the late 1990s and asking you why I can no longer wear contact lenses. You told me, "sometimes you just change as you get older, so you might just have to give it up!" Marna and Family, I just learned today about Dr. A's passing. I was his patient since the age of 13, 36 years in total. My favorite medical professional to ever go and see on a routine basis. I looked forward to our conversations regarding Salesianum School, rental properties, Family and Life in general. I just saw this today. My condolences to Dr. Abessinio's family The Dr. treated me for at least 40 years. I am surprised that he left us so soon, but I'm not surprised that so many of the comments are from long, long time patients. He was a great Dr. with a great sense of humor.
