Not sure what to say?

I had the utmost respect for Mr. Cutro. He challenged us all to be our best and treated us fairly. He created a classroom atmosphere at PCS where we were expected to commit to learning and to excel. Who could ask for more? After leaving Phoenix, I attended classes taught by professors at both Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School and, based on my experience, I would rank Mr. Cutro among the top 3 educators who ever stood in front of a class of students eager to be challenged and to...

Mr. Cutro was a wonderful teacher! I was in his biology class in 1968 where he struck fear into our hearts on the first day of class. He told us exactly what he expected of us and we knew he meant it because he also told us what the consequences would be. This was a lesson I needed to learn. I'm sure he will be missed by his family, but I hope it helps to know that he made a difference in so many lives.

I have such fond memories of Mr. Cutro & 10th grade Biology class. His sense of humor, dedication to his students, and the twinkle in his eye when he knew you finally “got the concept” are just a few of the things that come to mind. Through his teaching and encouragement, he set me on the path to my nursing career. He was truly an amazing man!

My deepest sympathy to the Cutro Family. May your happy memories help you through this difficult time.

Michele & Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I'm sorry I never had the chance to meet him; he sounds like he was loved by everyone who knew him. One of my dearest friends had him for a teacher and said he was her (and many, many others) favorite teacher. Keeping you & your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Michelle (Cousin Mike) Cutro

My memories of Mr. Cutro and his biology class make me smile with fondness. I saw him several years ago and was able to thank him for being a part of my academic and career success. My sincerest condolences.

Mr. Cutro was my 9th grade biology teacher. He was kind, direct, helpful, knowledgeable and always available to answer questions and chat. We need as many teachers like him as possible today! RIP Mr. Cutro.

Goodbye, old friend. Sometime soon, in a much better place, we will meet again for coffee and continue our discussion about gardening, teaching, and old times in Oswego. Until then, I will miss you.

I got to know Fran teaching at JCB. He was a fun and interesting guy who could cook up a great batch of chili. RIP.
