Frank's Obituaries

Funeral services for Frank Robinson Bolton, Jr. will be held at First United Methodist Church of Alexandria on Thursday, February 18 at 2:00 pm, with Reverend Donnie Wilkinson, Pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

 

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 17 from 5:00pm - 7:00p m and resume at the church on Thursday from 12:30 pm until the time of service. Frank Robinson Bolton, Jr. was born in Alexandria, LA on February 20, 1942 to Frank Robinson Bolton of Alexandria and Lillie McGehee Bolton, originally from Tennessee. He passed away on February 14, 2016. He graduated from Bolton High School (’60), Louisiana State University   (’64) and Louisiana State University Law school (’71). Frank was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and a Paul Harris Fellow in the Rotary Club of Alexandria and was a partner with Broussard, Bolton, Halcomb, and Vizzier for over 30 years.  He served in the US Navy from 1963-1968 serving as a communications lieutenant in Vietnam. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church all of his life. He was known for his great sense of humor, dry wit, and honesty. He enjoyed playing golf with his many friends, going to his hunting camp, and traveling with his wife, friends and family.  He is survived by his wife Patricia Bolen Bolton. He is also survived by his children: Sheryl Love (Frank), Melanie Klotzbach (Tod), Jerry Dyess (Alison), Michael Bolton, and Amanda Chenevert (Reagan), nine grandchildren: Frank Love, Jr., Katherine Love, Madeline Love, Jamy Klotzbach, Alexandra Klotzbach, Trey Dyess, Peyton Dyess, Brennan Chenevert and William Chenevert, brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Carol Fowler and nephew, Chuck Fowler, III (Barbra).  Pallbearers will be Frank Love, Tod Klotzbach, Reagan Chenevert, Frank Love, Jr., Jamy Klotzbach, Chuck Fowler, III, Kit Provine and Roy Halcomb. Mike Percy is an honorary pallbearer.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 2727 Jackson Street, Alexandria, LA 71301 or the charity of choice.
