Not sure what to say?

To the family, my heartfelt condolences at the loss of Frank. As was mentioned, he was one of a kind. I was blessed to run into Frank during the Bell Atlantic Mobile construction. Frank and Tony traveled all over Pittsburgh doing site work for the original cell system. Frank always had a smile and building some of those early cell sites were a challenge he stepped up to. I'll always remember Frank saying around lunchtime "Let's go get a sandwich" RIP my friend.

Our deepest sympathy is extended to Franks family. He was a terrific man.

Kim and Frank...I was so very sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. I've known from since the late 70's and it was always a joy to be around him. He was a character and will be deeply missed.

Sending my deepest sympathy Kim to you and your family...

Sending my prayers and love to the family. So sorry for your loss.

My Deepest Sympathy.

Kim and family, So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Sending love and prayers for you as you grieve this loss.

Heartfelt sympathy for you and your family

Sorry for your loss. It was an honor to know your dad.

Frank's Obituary

Frank L. Christofano, 88, of Jeannette, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, at his residence.  He was born November 5, 1936, in Belle Vernon, Pa., a son of the late Frank A. and Olive M. (Mains) Christofano.  He was a member of the Ascension Church, the M&S Club, and the Kiwanis Club, as well as the Operating Engineers Union for over 50 years.

Prior to retirement Frank was the co-owner of the Frank A Christofano & Sons Excavating Co. where he never met a job too big. To say he was detail oriented is an understatement, Frank was still able to rattle off job specifics like they happened yesterday. A hard worker through and through Frank was forever building even in his free time, whether it was adjusting walkways around his property or constructing his very own stone monument, “Frank-henge”.

When he wasn’t working you could find Frank doing what he loved most, entertaining lifelong friends and family. Quick to make new friends, generous to all, witty, and an absolute encyclopedia of jokes, he defined the phrase - life of the party.

Whether you knew Frank for a moment or a lifetime, you walked away with a story to share. Frank truly got his money’s worth out of life.

In addition to his parents Frank was predeceased by his wife Hazel (Yurt) Christofano; and dear friend Charlotte Myers.

He is survived by his children, Kimberly Zitkovich (friend Robert Feidner), Frank Christofano (wife Terri), all of Jeannette; grandchildren, Keena Heise (husband Josh), Aaron Zitkovich, Sarah Constable (husband John), Frank Christofano (wife Christi), and Cassie McGee (husband Aaron); great grandchildren, Adler, Marlow, Henrik, Nolan, Mickey, and Frank; a brother Anthony Christofano (wife Gloria), of Jeannette; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and paisanos.

Per Frank’s wishes, there will be no public visitation and funeral arrangements are private.  The John V. Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Jeannette are entrusted with arrangements.
