Not sure what to say?

Enjoyed him as a boss as well as a friend. Rest in peace my friend.

Absolutely loved this man... RIP

Love Frank is was a warm and gentle man with open arms everything saw him. He will be missed.

My memories of Uncle Frank are his love of family, friends and life. He could put a smile on your face and fill your heart with joy. He is now with his Lord and all the people he loved that have passed on before him. His presence you can feel in your soul will always be there.

I have a heavy heart, my memories of times our family had on vacation to Butte. Forever in my heart!

My condolences to the Mischkot family. Frank provided many of our machine/equipment needs at the Anaconda Arbiter Plant. My grandparents (Meschnik) in Anaconda were old country friends with Anna and Philip.

What a great and friendly man!

I got to know Frank through the Muni and when we served on the Muni board together. How blessed was I to get to spend time with this wonderful, genuine and true gentleman!!! My sympathies to his family. I rejoice knowing he is reunited with his loved ones who proceeded him in passing.

So sorry for your loss. I will always remember him at the golf course and the bowling alley when I worked at both. Always had the contagious laugh and will never forget that nor the look on his face after a great round on the course or game on the lanes.

Obituary

Frank's Obituary

Francis W. Mischkot was born in Butte, Montana on October 18, 1938 and passed away in St. Louis, Missouri on August 10, 2025. Though now is the time for us to grieve “Frank”, his time for grieving the love of his life Anna and his beloved son Frankie is over. He is with them now and forever at peace, free from the burdens of his life, and after knowing life’s greatest joys.

Frank, known closely as Papa, Papapapa, dad, brother, and friend has traveled to the next world where thoughts of a 40-year career supplying Butte’s mining industry, decades of fun and comradery at Star Lanes Bowling Alley and Highland View Golf course will fade to pleasant memories. Big game in the mountains of Montana and trout in the Big Hole River are forever safe as are the referees at Butte High and Montana Tech Oredigger football games.

Frank enjoyed his hobbies and pastimes with his living sons John and Michael and long ago with his departed brothers Phillip and Jimmy. Frank found comfort and endless advice from his sisters Paulette, Rosanne, Wilma and Hazel, growing up on a farm at the corner of Harrison Avenue and Amherst. Frank’s dad Phillip and mother Annie passed decades ago.

Frank also leaves behind four grandchildren and three great grandchildren for whom he could not be more proud.

Frank will be laid to rest with his wife Anna in Butte, MT on May 30th, 2026. In lieu of flowers or other gifts to the family, Frank would be proud to have his memory honored by making donations to the Frank Mischkot Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Butte High School, 401 W. Mercury St., Butte, MT 59701.
