Frank Polanish, 79, of Hertford, NC, passed away, Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1937, he moved to Hertford with his wife in 1996. A retired commodity broker, he was the President of London, Jenkins & Polanish, Inc. a firm on the New York Commodity Exchange (COMEX), located at the time in the World Trade Center in New York City. An avid fisherman and conservationist, he was a founding & past board member of the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum, located in Livingston Manor, NY, and also enjoyed membership in many other fishing and conservation organizations.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Cecelia, as well as the many fish he caught and released.
A private celebration of his life will be held. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
