Frank's Obituary

Frank A Szente 97 of Hillside, died peacefully on Saturday April 4, 2020 at the Paramus Veterans Memorial Home.

Service for Frank is private. He will be inured at a later date at Brigadier General William C Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery.

Frank was born, raised and lived his entire life in Hillside, NJ. Prior to being drafted into the Armed forces, Frank had been scouted by the St Louis Cardinals MLB Club and had attended Spring Training Camp in 1941. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Frank was a member of the IBEW. He was a Tool and Die maker for Western Electric in Kearny for over 35 years. Frank was an active member of a Barber Shop Singing Society that performed throughout NJ, Nationally and Internationally. Franks love of sports continued throughout his life and as a young man was involved with Youth Baseball Coaching Little League Teams in Hillside, NJ. Frank was also an active member for many years with Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Glen Rock, NJ.

Frank was predeceased by his wife Irene and two sons Donald and Gary. He is survived by his loving son Robert J., Caring grandchildren Brian and Marissa and cherished great grandchildren Quinn, Kira and Samantha.
