Fred Edge, Jr., age 53, of Scotland, passed away February 29, 2016 at his residence.Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, in the Archer City Cemetery with Dale Murphy of Archer City officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.Fred was born February 21, 1963 in Lovington, New Mexico to Fred Woodrow Edge and Janis Mae Scott Edge.He graduated from Archer City High School. He then went to work in the oilfield where he worked throughout his life.He married Karen Renee Schlabs on August 4, 2001 in Scotland, Texas.Fred had a very big heart and never forgot any birthdays for anyone. He was the first to call and wish you a happy birthday. He loved to cook and BBQ.Survivors include his wife, Karen Edge of Scotland; his parents, Fred and Jan Edge of Archer City; and his niece, Karley Edge of Canyon.He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Edge on July 11, 2001.The family suggests memorials to the Scotland Fire Department, P.O. Box 103, Scotland, Texas 76379.
