Fred J. Bordelon Sr.

Fred J. Bordelon Sr., 90, of Wallingford, beloved husband of 58 years of Anne DeGeorge Bordelon died, Monday, June 10, 2013 at his residence.Fred was born in Jackson, Mississippi, June 9, 1923, a son of the late Fernand Bordelon and Thelma Lane Bordelon and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Fred was employed as an engineer at Avco Lycoming in Stratford for many years until his retirement, and was a radio controlled airplane enthusiast.In addition to his wife Anne, he is survived by his daughter June Stevens and her husband Robert of Woodbridge; his two sons Fred Bordelon Jr. and his wife Sabine of Stratford, and Patrick Bordelon of Wallingford; his 6 grandchildren Michael, Christopher, and Carolyn Stevens, Ryan and Jake Bordelon and Nick Anderson; and his brother Joseph Bordelon of Louisiana. He was predeceased by his daughter Marianne Bordelon.Funeral services and interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
