Uncle Fred was the last of my mother,Helen Montgomery Birchfield’s siblings. I have fond memories of his visits as a child . He was a joy to be around and it saddened me to know that I will never again have that opportunity.Love and prayers for the girls and their families

Fred Montgomery was born in McCrory, AR on April 6, 1934, to the late Smith Montgomery and the late Willie Ramsey.
Fred passed away on January 10, 2026, at his home at the age of 91.
He retired from the US Military, worked at Wynne Fire Department as Chief Pump Operator, and was Maintenance Supervisor for the Wynne Housing Authority.
Fred leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Heather Kelley (Searcy, AR), Heidi Cullum, (Augusta, AR), 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside Service: Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Arkansas Veteran's Cemetery in Birdeye, AR.
Visitation: Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 6pm-8pm at Smith's Chapel in Wynne, Arkansas.
Burial: Arkansas Veteran's Cemetery Birdeye, Arkansas
