Fred, you were a wonderful and kindhearted man, who watched over the neighborhood and my Mom's home while she lived with me. Your loving spirit and jovial heart helped keep Dan smiling as he worked that summer on the house - YOU will be missed, but we will all "meet you at the gate" one day. Say hello to my Mom ok? Fred Thomas McPherson, Sr., age 72, passed away peacefully at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center in Walla Walla, Washington.He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 20, 1945 to the late Othel Hardin and Fred McPherson. Fred attended Walla Walla schools and graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1963.Prior to retiring, Fred was owner and operator of The Target Shop in Walla Walla. He was a life member of the NRA, Waitsburg Gun Club, Walla Walla Gun Club, SWCA-Smith and Wesson Collectors Assn, Baker City Gun Club, Milton-Freewater Gun Club and was a certified NRA firearm safety instructor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his traveling adventures to play cards. Our hearts are deeply saddened by the loss of Fred.Fred is survived by his son Fred T. McPherson Jr., daughter Jamie McPherson, brother Marvin McPherson, sister Debbie Adlington, four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.A Celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 2:00PM, at Mountain View Cemetery in Walla Walla with Minister Scott McKay, officiating.Memorial Contributions may be made to the Waitsburg Gun Club, Walla Walla Gun Club and the NRA through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home 315 W Alder Walla Walla, WA.
