Mack Wade, 81, of Farmerville, passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Kay, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage; granddaughter Bridget Tucker; his parents Bo and Christine Wade; and sister Sheila Williams.
Mack, an US Air Force veteran, was an avid outdoorsman; he found joy in deer hunting, fishing, and following his beloved Texas Rangers baseball team. He was a true problem-solver, and a regular "Mr. Fix-It". Whether it was tackling a household or auto repair or diving into a challenging puzzle book, Mack’s sharp mind and steady hands were always at work.
When it came to entertainment, Mack was a devoted fan of Western movies and TV shows, which provided him with hours of enjoyment.
His dedication to his family was unwavering. During his years as a father, he always ensured that Kay and their children had everything they needed.
Mack was known for his great sense of humor, and he expressed his love for his family and friends through teasing and banter, with a grin on his face. You could almost always find him with a dip in his mouth and a spit cup close by, a characteristic that made him unmistakably Mack.
Mack’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of his family and friends, but his legacy will carry on. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were lucky enough to know him.
He is survived by his children, Joey Wade, Nancy Brantley (Carey), and Kevin Wade; grandchildren, Brooklyn Russell, Kaitlin Caskey (Zach), Kassie Wade, Kenzie Wade, Caleb Wade (Emily) and Emma Brantley; great grandchildren, Khloe & Jenson Tucker, Broden Russell, and Oakley Mae Wade; and sister Julie Jones (Steve).
The family expresses sincere appreciation to Dad's caregivers, Chasity Weldon and Wendy Ivy, for their loving care and support.
Rest in peace Mack (Dad, Pawpaw, Brother, Uncle and Friend). You will never be forgotten.
