I first met Fred at a Donzi boat gathering on Lake Winnipesaukee. My son and I were walking the docks admiring all the boats. A friend asked if we were going out for the run and Fred overheard me say that we were not. He immediately said that we were welcome to come aboard his boat for the ride. Our friendship was born immediately. Though we lived in different states we would come together briefly almost every summer for a visit and talk about all things boating related.
