Frederick Beythan Sr.

Passed away peacefully January 10, 2026 at Heath Source of Saginaw, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s; age 94 years. Frederick was born on August 6, 1931 in Saginaw, MI, the third oldest of five children to the late J. Edwin (Irma) Beythan. He graduated from Arthur Hill class of 1949 and honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was previously married to Carol (Oldenburg) Beythan. Fred was employed by Great Lake Express as a truck driver until his retirement. He was a member of the Frankenmuth American Legion Post 150, Past Master of Bridgeport Masonic Lodge 259, F.& A.M, the Scottish Rite Bay City, Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple. Moose Lodge and Teamsters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are two sons Fred Beythan Jr. and Don (Cheryl) Beythan; daughters-in-law Sue Beythan and Michelle Beythan; grandchildren Jessica (Andrew) Bouvy, Jonathan (Alicia) Beythan, Jill (Brady) Luby, Mary (Matt) Wellman; great-grandchildren Charlotte, Evelyn, and Henry Bouvy, Ella, Emelia, and Edith Beythan, Eleanor and William Luby, and Grant Wellman, one sister Lois Gardner and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a son John Beythan; his brothers and sister Carl Beythan, Irma June Bolster, and Edwin Beythan.
Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. According to Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Fred’s family would like to thank the staff at Health Source for their compassionate care given over the last 9 years.
