this news makes me sad. Tom was always good to us, beginning from our relocation from Columbus to Linden back in '69 and until the last time we caught up at Uncle Curtis Lee's funeral. Always quick with a mischievous smile and warm heart. Good Man, right there. Going to be missed by quite a few Good People. Sincere condolences and sympathies to Sharon, Junior, Jim, Janice, and Family.

French Lee “Tucker” Nichols, 75, of Looneyville, passed away, Friday, October 3, 2025, doing what he loved most, which was farming.
He was born April 5, 1950, at Linden, the son of the late Herman and Georgia Ann Buchanan Nichols.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew R. Nichols.
Tucker was a member of Linden Lodge No. 83 A.F. & A.M., Linden.
He retired from General Pipeline with 15 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sharon Lynn Nichols; children, Thomas H. (Misty) Young, Angela D. (Rick) Adkins and Adam L. (Erin) Nichols; grandchildren, Thomas H. (K.C.) Young, III, Holden S. (Kyrstin) Young, Ethan C. (Brooke) Starcher, Levi Nichols, Kane Nichols and Isla Nichols; great grandchildren, Jase Young, Wrenley Young, Jaxon Shreve, Raylan Starcher, and Raegan Starcher; brothers and sister, James E. (Rose) Nichols, Janice (Wayne) Holcomb and Herman Nichols, Jr.
Tucker was a Christian and a prankster, who enjoyed a good joke.
His pastimes included checking his cows and farming, playing rook and ping pong.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial, with Masonic rites, will be in Clover Cemetery, Clover.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
