Not sure what to say?

I called on Gary every Tuesday when he worked at Ellis Electric. Calling on him was a bright spot. Gary and the Ellis family always had a story to share and we all laughed together. May God be with you and your family.

Gary Lee Clark, son of Donald and Betty (Tielber) Neet Clark, was born December 11, 1947 in Spencer, Iowa.  He received his education in Emmetsburg and later received his G.E.D.

Gary was united in marriage to Bernadine Henkins in 1968 in Canton, South Dakota.  They were blessed with a one-of-a-kind son, Kent.

Gary and Bernie made their home in Emmetsburg.  Gary worked at Ellis Electric for 22 years.  He was then employed by the City of Emmetsburg for the next 24 years and had most recently been the manager of the Emmetsburg Airport before retiring.

Gary was a great pool player and enjoyed playing with family and friends. He prided himself on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; to him, his family was his greatest accomplishment.  He also like going fishing when he had time.  He was a perfectionist in all he did, including maintaining a beautiful yard.  Gary also liked attending the car races in Algona and watching NASCAR.

Gary passed away unexpectedly at his home in Emmetsburg on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the age of 77.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty;  and his beloved son, Kent.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadine of Emmetsburg, Iowa; grandchildren, Braxton Clark, Jocelyn Wells, Cassidy Clark, Carson Clark and Kaleb Zurmley; great grandchildren, Ryder Clark, Brynn Herrig, Chandler Clark, Fairis Herrig, Talon McDonald, and Maveric Stade; his brother, Larry Clark (Shirley) of Spencer, Iowa; nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; and many friends.
