I can not express how sorry I was to hear about your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I have very fond memories of Gary and the Ditomassi family and growing up in H.P. Again I am truly sorry for your loss.

Ditomassi family, the childhood memories with all of you in Highland Park will remain with the Viti Family for ever. We are so sorry to hear and we are thinking of your family daily.

Gary R. DiTomassi, 56, of Highland Park, IL, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 18, 2013 in his home in Wauconda, IL. He was born May 02, 1957 in Rockford, IL. Son of Sylvia DiTomassi (nee Akers) and the late Richard DiTomassi.Gary DiTomassi, beloved father of Vincent and Regina; admired nephew of Ronald DiTomassi; loving and adored brother of Denise Gately (Steve), Diane Lynch (Pete), Kim DiTomassi-Weiner, Mark DiTomassi and Jeffrey DiTomassi; cherished uncle of Sean, Stephanie, Christopher, Kimi, Kady, Kelly, Danielle, Kylie, Zoe and Casey; great uncle of Thomas.Gary was a five-star Professional Chef and Culinary Institute of America graduate, class of 1981; co-owner of Bristol Court Banquet Hall in Mount Prospect, IL.Gary had a special interest in providing food to charitable organizations while owner of The Barrington House and Gary D's Catering. Furthermore, he generously opened his banquet hall annually on holidays providing meals for the homeless. Gary's love and means of relaxation and enjoyment was boating with his family and friends, hosting parties at home and traveling. In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of his children. Contributions may be sent to Vincent and Regina DiTomassi at 1371 New Haven Dr., Cary, IL 60013.Visitation will be Thursday July 25, 2013 at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 North Main Street, Wauconda, IL, from 3:00 PM to time of funeral service 7:00 PM. Interment is private.
