In Loving Memory of Gary Alan Golden
Gary Alan Golden passed away peacefully, surrounded by the family who cherished him so deeply. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Beth; his beloved children, Kim, Karen (Patrick), and John (Michelle); his brothers, Mike (Karen) and Howard (Carol); his nephews and nieces; and his cherished nieces, Abbi (Josh) and Leila, who were like daughters to him. He was especially proud of his grandchildren Ari (Isabel), Jonah, Izzy, David, Juliette, Noah, and Kate.
Born in Indianapolis to Ben and Freada Golden, Gary grew up grounded in the values that would guide him throughout his life—family, faith, and humility. His journey eventually led him to New Orleans, where he met the love of his life, Beth. Together they built a home filled with warmth, strong opinions, and unwavering commitment to one another and to their children.
Gary lived many roles with honor—husband, father, Zayda, brother, uncle, and friend. He was devoted to Judaism and held a steadfast love for Israel, shaping his identity and the principles he carried with him. Those fortunate enough to spend time with him were touched by his quiet wisdom, kindness, and selfless service to others.
Though his path was not always easy, Gary met each challenge with courage, allowing his capacity for love and gratitude to grow with every step. His presence was a blessing—a reminder of what it means to live with humility, steadfast values, and an open heart.
We will forever be grateful for the memory of his gentle spirit and generous heart. His memory will continue to live on in the lives he shaped, the family he adored, and the countless moments he graced with his humor and kindness.
Graveside service Tuesday, March 10, 10:00 a.m. at B’nai Amoona Cemetery, 930 North and South Road. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Gary’s memory to Traditional Congregation in Creve Coeur or the charity of your choice
May his memory be a blessing.
