Dear Gary, You will be so missed. You made quit an impact on so many lives, mine included. I'll treasure the memories of us way back when and the friendship I have today simply because we dated. Things I will never forget about you...Your laugh and non stop smile. Your talent on a plethora of instruments, and so many personal jokes we shared up till the last time I saw you in 2018. Rest in peace, Gary, May you fly high with the angels and may those that love you, especially your...

Countless great fun time memories working with him from the very beginning when we were still in high school working at Farmer Jack's always meeting up at one store another throughout our careers. Coming over after work to the late night get togethers in the garage listening to the band . Thank you my friend for all the great wonderful memories. May you have eternal peace till we meet again.

Gary Arthur Halcomb passed away on September 26, 2025 at the age of 63.
Gary was a man who lived life on his own terms — spontaneous, free-spirited, and full of fun. His love for music was at the core of who he was. A gifted piano player, Gary shared his talent both on stage and off. In the 80s, he played in a band called Circular Motion, leaving behind memories of unforgettable performances and the joy of creating music with friends.
He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found peace in the simple things — whether it was relaxing in the sun, taking in the beauty of nature, or just being present in the moment. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his daughter, Samantha. Together, they made cherished memories on trips to Tobermory, Canada, exploring the cliffs, the crystal-clear waters, and the quiet moments in between. They also shared a special bond through music, attending countless concerts and singing along to their favorite songs.
Gary's spirit will be remembered in every melody, every sunset, and every laugh shared under an open sky. His legacy lives on in the music he played, the love he gave, and the memories he created with those who knew him best.
He is survived by his daughter Samantha Nesbitt (Trevor). His parents Wanda and the late Larry Halcomb. His brothers Larry (Ragheda) Halcomb, Steve Halcomb, and Mark Halcomb. His nephews Lawerence, Alex, and Andrew. Gary is also survived by many friends and loved ones who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held on October 4th at 5pm at the Taylor location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation services located at 9800 Telegraph Road Taylor Mi 48180. Visitation will be on October 4th from 12-5pm. In honor of his memory, the family encourages you to play your favorite song loud, take a walk outside, or share a spontaneous adventure — just as Gary would have wanted.
