Gary Robert Hoffman 89, passed away February 11, 2026, at his residence in Newark WV. Was born on March 28, 1936, in a home on Toledo Avenue in Monroe Michigan. Gary was the fourth born son of Dorthy C. and Clarence W. Hoffman. In 1940 the family moved to their home at 715 Smith Street Monroe Michigan, there the family spent the early years of their lives together. Gary’s brothers Leo James, Clarence William. JR, Thomas Charles and their sister Karen Louise were all raised there on Smith Street. Gary graduated from monroe High School. He later became married to Barbara Patton, fathered two children, Randall Curits Hoffman and daughter Laura Elizabeth Hoffman. Later Gary graduated from Capital Radio Engineering Institute. He attended numerous seminars classes and studies, resulting in his holding a Masters electrical, masters HVACT, FCC Radio license, and an FFA Instrument rated Piolets License. Gary also taught HVAC classes for five years, for RSES Refrigeration Services Engineers Society in Baltimore Maryland.On October 24, 1998 Gary Married a second time to Anna (Nancy Anna Elizabeth Foulk). They lived near Baltimore at 6 Collingwood Garth Phoenix Maryland.Gary’s employment history includes, working for Kaiser Aircraft and Electronics Co. in Toledo Ohio, the Glen L. Martin Co. in Baltimore Maryland as a Field engineer on the Inertially guided Mace Missal program in Baltimore Maryland. For the next 20 years, he worked for the Bendix Radio Corporation in Baltimore Maryland as an electrical engineer he worked on designing RF and Microwave equipment. Also, while at Bendix he worked on a nuclear hardening project at White Sands NM. In 1978 Gary started his own company for 20 years, General Services Engineering Co. in Baltimore Maryland. At the peak, he employed over 60 employees, designing and manufacturing microwave equipment for the Government and other electronic companies.His wife Anna graduated from William and Mary and spent much of her life working in education. She worked for the Baltimore County Board of Education. In her later years, she was director of The PPW section of the county and the State of Maryland. On September 30, 2019, Anna passed and was honored for her outstanding life and dedication to helping others. After Anna passing Gary found another life in West Virginia with Janet Walker, a dear friend and caregiver. In accordance to his wishes There will be no services.
