Gary L. Miley, Sr., 61, of Jacksonville, died Monday, December 23, 2013, at his residence.He was born May 30, 1952, the son of Lawrence Miley and Lucille Montgomery. He married Linda McMeans on November 22, 1975, in Jacksonville, and she survives.He is also survived by two daughters, Melinda (Shane) White of Waverly, Kathy (Steve) Brewers of Ashland; one son, Gary Miley, Jr. of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Larry Miley and Lloyd (Shirley) Miley, both of Iowa. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Arizzona Miley. Gary had worked for Marquards in Jacksonville for over 20 years. An avid gun collector and outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and camp. He also loved to cook for his family.A visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2013, at the Buchanan and Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville. There will be no service. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Linda Miley. Condolences may be left at www.buchanancody.com.
