Our thoughts and prayers to the family. Gay Ann was one of my favorite ladies on the planet. She always made me feel special and was always loving and kind. I know in my heart that her and Momma (Barbara Sue) are having a wonderful time in heaven together.

Sorry for your loss, she will be missed by all, sorry I could not be there with you.

Gay Ann was too young to leave this earth and I am stunned at her passing. My heart goes out to Lacye, BJ and Billy, as well as all of her grandchildren. My prayers are with you all.

Gay's Obituary

Gay Ann Young, 69, of Sapulpa left this earth to go to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.

Gay Ann Young was born on December 16, 1946 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Glenn A. Young and Wilma (Welch) Young (both deceased). They moved to Norman, OK shortly after her birth. Her brother, Glenn (Bill) Young was born there (deceased). They moved to Sapulpa to live close to grandparents, Glenn O. Young and Thora Kate Young (deceased). Joy E. was born in Sapulpa.

She was a lifelong Sapulpa resident. She graduated from Sapulpa High School, attended NEO in Miami, OK, Northeastern State at Tahlequah, OK and the University of Albuquerque, NM. She worked at many different kinds of jobs and owned several different businesses during her lifetime. She loved her family and did everything that she possibly could for them and their friends.

She is survived by her children, William Lundy Edwards, Billie Jo Loghry and husband, John and Layce Keith; grandchildren, Quila Edwards Webb, Hunter Edwards, Alexandra Edwards Thomas, J. R. Woods, Dallas Woods, Corbin Pugh, Logan Pugh and Atreyu Keith; and one sister, Joy Zumwalt.

Gay Ann loved the Lord and attended Cross Pointe Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Cross Pointe Church (Formerly Glenwood Assembly), 450 E Speer Ave, Sapulpa, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
