Geneva Grace Murphy, 86, of Jolly, Texas in all His glory and grace, the Lord called his daughter home on Christmas morning.
The family will receive friends between 5 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at FBC in Dean, Texas with Pastor Wayne Miller, officiating. Interment will follow at Dean Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral of Henrietta
Geneva was born on February 9, 1939 to the late Eli and Mamie (Grizzle) McKay in Raines County, Texas. She met and married the love of her life, Jerry Murphy and the couple spent 68 wonderful years together. They were blessed by God with two sons and two daughters.
Geneva and Jerry were members of FBC in Dean, Texas, where she was very active serving as a teacher and WMU Leader. Also, Geneva was an avid quilter, but most of all, she loved being “granny” to all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many family and friends.
Geneva is survived by her husband, Jerry Murphy; two sons, Danny Murphy and Rocky Murphy and wife, Lisa; two daughters, Debra Vickers and husband, Gary and Sherry Duell and husband, Kenneth “Butch”; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.owensandbrumley.com
