Dear George and Martha,
I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. You are all so blessed. Such a long and fruitful life... happy times, and memories to last a lifetime. Our love and support will always be here for you.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Uncle George's family. I will always remember his smiling face at my Granddaughters birthday several years ago. Go with the angels, George, and R.I.P

I just wanted to send a little note to let you know that all of you were so blessed to have your Dad for such a long time, he truly was a great man. In turn, he raised some pretty great men! You should all be proud of the caretaker roles you unconditionally took on.

George's Obituary

George G. Besson Sr. passed away Aug. 30, 2014 at home in Gilroy. Mr. Besson is survived by his children George Jr. and wife Martha Besson, Denis J. and wife Sherrie Besson of Gilroy, Joseph and wife Lindsay Besson of South Lake Tahoe and Jeffery Besson of Gilroy. Grandfather of Denise, Jared and Jordan Besson all of Gilroy , Ashley, Marisa and Katie Besson all of South Lake Tahoe and Great-Grandfather of Kylie and Ava Silvia of Gilroy. Also survived by numerous extended family and friends. Mr. Besson worked for Sunweet Prunes as a forman then for the County of Santa Clara as a ranger and surveyor. He and his late wife Mary also raised wine grapes on their ranch on Hecker Pass.He was a Veteran of World War II and member of American Legion posts 669 and 217. Also a member of St. Mary's Church and founding member of the Knights of Columbus. Donations to the Lord's Table, St. Judes or a favorite charity are preferred and appreciated.Memorial Mass will be Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church.
