Middleton, NHGeorge P. Brannan, Sr., age 77, of Route 153 in Middleton, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, surrounded by his loving family.Born July 19, 1937 in Rochester, the son of Norbert N. and Ruby (Tufts) Brannan, he spent his lifetime in Middleton.George was a member of Middleton Gospel Chapel, where in earlier years, had served as a deacon.Before retirement, he had been employed at many local shoe factories, gas companies and Middleton Building Supply. He worked part time, after retiring, at his shop (Middleton Iron Works) cutting pipe for Laars Heating of Rochester.Survived by his wife of 52 years: Judith E. (Young) Brannan, 2 sons: George P. Brannan, Jr. and wife Adrienne, Jason J. Brannan and fiancée Kristine Hackett, daughter: Betty J. and husband Fred Chisholm, his grandchildren, whom he loved and was so proud of: Gregory and Alyson Brannan, Ashley Brannan, Kathleen Beske, Derek and Brandon Congram and Cody Chisholm, 5 great grandchildren, a daughter in law Tammy Brannan, a brother Gerard Brannan, a sister Ina and husband Jeff Pipkin, sister in laws: Florence Brannan and Rose Brannan, also many nieces, nephews cousins and his dog "Sassy".Predeceased by his parents, brothers: Vincent Brannan, Francis Brannan and sister in law Elizabeth Brannan.Family and friends are welcome to a Graveside Service on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10am at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington.
