George Roy Carrillo was born in Superior, Arizona on August 23,1954 to Mary and Servando Carrillo. When his family moved to Tempe in 1970, George attended Tempe High School, and proudly played football as a Tempe High Buffalo. After graduating, he continued his education at Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business. George’s early career as a real estate agent eventually led him to the work that defined much of his life: serving others as a State Farm representative in the office of his eldest brother, Andy, on Southern Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona. It was there that George built a legacy of care. The people in that community knew him not just as an insurance representative, but as someone who genuinely looked out for them. He had an extraordinary ability to listen, guide, and reassure. His patience, sincerity, and dedication earned the trust and gratitude of countless families over the years. George’s devotion to people extended far beyond his work. He was the brother who always stayed connected, the uncle who never lost track of any niece or nephew’s milestones, and the friend who consistently showed up. He loved spending time with family and he had a gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. A talented photographer, George captured the most treasured scenes of family life: childhood moments, celebrations, quiet gatherings, the small joys that later become priceless. His camera was an extension of his care, and his photos remain a beautiful reminder of the way he saw the world. George had a natural ability to make others feel understood. He was the person family called for advice, for comfort, or simply for a fresh perspective. When George walked into a family gathering, he brought a warmth and sense of humor that brought life to the party. He lived with kindness, he listened with compassion, and he gave with his whole heart. Those who know him loved him deeply, and those he loved felt it without question. George will be remembered and missed always. We loved him dearly, and we are grateful for every moment he shared with us.
