George “G.T.” Crabtree, 79, of Riceville, TN passed away, Friday, September 19, 2025.
George was a member of Clear Springs Bible Church where he had served as a deacon. George loved spending time reading his bible and enjoyed farming. He proudly served his country in the United States Arm. George retired after over 40 years of employment at Etowah Utilities. He was a wonderful, loving, and caring husband, father, and grandfather. George was one of a kind and always went above and beyond to help everyone.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Joann Crabtree; parents, John and Willie Crabtree; brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Jerry Crabtree.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Terry Crabtree, Tony and Kristy Crabtree, Tracy and Julie Crabtree; grandchildren, MaKayla Crabtree and fiancé, Tanner Black, Amanda Crabtree, Geoffrey and spouse, Hannah Crabtree, Tony Jo Crabtree Jr., and George Michael Crabtree; great-grandchildren, Erin, Rylyn, and Carter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Faye Crabtree, Ray and Shelia Crabtree; brother-in-law, Steve Swafford; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2025, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Redman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble in McMinn Memory Gardens Wednesday, September 24th for the 2:00 p.m. committal service.
