He was my professor at RIC for Analytical Chemistry in 1982. He was a wonderful teacher and a very nice man.

Professor Deckey's sense of humor was entwined in his work. His "dance moves" demonstrating molecular movement were a hit.

Dr Deckey was my professor at Rhode Island College for Analytical Chemistry and was much loved. I am now teaching chemistry in the same lab where we had his class. So sorry to hear of his passing. I graduated in 1971.
