George "Eddie"'s Obituary

With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of George “Eddie” Edward Bingham, who entered the gates of heaven on September 2, 2025, at the age of 67.  Born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 3, 1958, Eddie faced significant medical challenges from infancy, having been diagnosed with cerebral palsy at six months old.  Yet, through the unwavering support of his devoted parents, loving brother, and extended family.

Eddie’s life became a powerful testament to resilience, joy, and unconditional love.  Edie thrived in the embrace of his family and community. He went to school in Wichita Falls and spent several years at Daybreak Dayhab, where he made lasting friendships.  He loved being outside and staying busy – whether it was raising show chickens with his dad and brother, helping out in the garden during watermelon and cantaloupe season, or riding his horses, Coco and Jack, in local play days.  He was proud of the trophies and ribbons he won from those rides, and he never missed a chance to hop on the tractor when he could.  A familiar and beloved figure in his neighborhood, Eddie often rode his three-wheeled bike or scooter with his loyal dog by his side, visiting neighbors and spreading cheer.  He never met a stranger, always greeting others with a big smile and a warm heart.  He found comfort in western TV shows and Chuck Norris movies, and his love for his family was the cornerstone of his life.

Eddie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Monroe Gene and Mildred Jeanette Bingham; his cherished brother, Michael “Mike” Gene Bingham; and his dear niece, Heather Michelle Bingham.  We take comfort in knowing they are joyfully reunited.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Gail Bingham; his nieces, Samantha Bingham and Kaylie Skinner; nephew-in-law, Drew Skinner; great-niece and great-nephews, Hunter Williams, Bryson Hoff, Anniston Hulse, River Hulse, Samuel Skinner, and Benjamin Skinner; great-great nephews, Tyson Williams, and Kellen Williams; and cousins, Pam Bowers—who shared a close and special bond with Eddie, and Jerry Bingham; along with many other beloved cousins and friends who held him close in their hearts.

A Celebration of Eddie’s life will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Stubblefield, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

Flowers are appreciated, and for those who wish to honor Eddie’s love for animals and the care he received, donations may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76310 (howf.org); or the Humane Society of Wichita County, 4360 Old Iowa Park Rd, Wichita Falls, TX 76305 (humanesocietyofwichitacounty.org)
