George was soft-spoken, intelligent, and knowledge-sharing. We were fortunate that he came into my sister-in-laws life 35 years ago. They traveled the world together and shared their experiences with family and friends. George and Vicky visited us every Springtime in Florida and we loved that he loved boating and fishing with us along with flea marketing. My dear George, I think God brought two people together who were trying to find His plan for them. Thank you Jesus. Our 35 wonderful years of marriage watched our children marry; becoming grand parents to 12 and great grand parents. You kept your promise to take me traveling that far surpassed my expectations, showing me the wonders of the U.S.A. and by fulfilling your "Bucket List" of traveling to the seven continents. RIP Pop-pop. 11-13-2019.
Fishing. So what does fishing have to do with anything? Well, in my relationship with Pop-pop it was almost everything! I spent 11 months of the year looking forward the July when he would come visit and take my brothers and me fishing, whether it was throwing worms for stockers in our lakes or catching halibut in Valdez. George touched so many lives with his generous spirit and he did it in such an uplifting and positive way. Our family will miss him especially for his dedication to Troop 60 and the many scouts he mentored and guided in their journey through the program. Peace be with you George and your family.
