George was a very kind and one of the nicest men I knew. I met George over 50 years ago and had interaction with him as I worked for the Reading DPW for 35 years. He was a very well respected and admired gentleman. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace George.

Phyllis and Jay: i am so heartbroken to learn of George's passing. I knew him through my dad first, then through Eastern Star. I have many memories of Jay when we were kids....I amso sad that I can not express my sympathies to you at this time, in person, but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. He was a great man with a quick wit and smile, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Jay - Your Dad was another one of our "neighborhood dads" that we were blessed to grow up with in an era that is sadly and slowly passing with the loss of another great person. He always made me feel loved and welcome and taught me a lot of great values by being the example he was to everyone around. Too many good times and memories to mention at the Perry homestead on Franklin St. Our deepest sympathies to you and your family. Gone, but not forgotten, his examples and legacy live on in...

Phyllis, Jay , and all of the Perry family.
I was so sorry to learn of Georges passing.
I knew him from high school., and later with his association with the Fire Dept.
He was very invested in the Town Forest Committee and contributed much to the Town of Reading with his involvement in many civic groups.
George was always a pleasure to work with and to converse with. He was truly one of the good guys. May his memory give you comfort, and may he rest in peace

My sympathies and condolences to Jay and all of the Perry family. Many memories of George from years in Scouting and beyond. A truly remarkable man, who served as a role model for many. May he rest in peace.
