To a man that was truly loved and respected got along well with everyone would given his last dollar or shirt off his back to help someone I was truly proud and grateful to call him my DADDY the best friend I ever had he made me into the man I am today I love him with everything in my body I love you daddy and miss you very much your son Dinkie

Not a day goes by without this Man in my heart and on my mind he’s truly missed and loved by me I could talk to him about anything and he could do anything in my eyes it has been 7 years and it’s as if it was yesterday he was called home I love and miss him so much your son George Jr (Dinkie)

6 years ago you were called home and it feels like yesterday I can still hear your voice your laughter not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and talk about you I’m so proud to carry on your name and to tell people how good of a Parent you was to me I learned so much from you and could still learn more I love and miss you everyday your son George Jr ( Dinkie )

As always I Love and Miss my DAD everyday life is not the same without him here

It’s been three years ago on the 4 of December that you went to Heaven still seams like yesterday I still go by and see you and Mama when I go to work Tammy Nad Myself went down Friday and put yours and Mamas Christmas Tree up I miss both of y’all more than anybody knows Love your Son Dinkie

George (aka Pops) We are going to miss you more then you will ever know, it was a honor to call you my Brother in law. I wanted to thank you for being a dad to Michael who he will always look up to.Want a Christmas this will be in Heaven for you and Carole. As we told you Dinkie and Judy will be taking care of!! Till we meet again.

You and Carole will be greatly missed. A part of my life for 55 yrs, I feel like part of my world has changed forever. There is a hole in my heart that will never heal. Thank you for loving my sister and taking care of her until the very end. I hope you get to meet John Wayne in heaven, as I know you also loved him dearly, Warmly forever your sister in law. George's Obituaries

Mr. George M. Summers, Sr., age 76, of Gainesville passed away Monday, December 4, 2017.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ken May officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Mr. Summers retired from the City of Roswell. George loved traveling, Western's and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carole Summers. Survivors include his children, Judy Brooks and George "Dinkie" Summers, Jr. (Tammy); siblings, Farris Cater, Doris Roberts, Buck Summers, and Michael "Baby" Summers; grandchildren, Lori Summers, Cassy Summers, Rudy Brooks and Tamra Summers; great-grandchildren, Bryson Flood and Jada Summers; Several nieces and nephews.
