Cumberland – George E. Tetreault, 89, of Ferncrest Drive, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Otto) Tetreault and the late Rose (Gingras) Tetreault. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late L. Philip and Ozena (Theroux) Tetreault, he resided in Cumberland for many years. George was a World War II U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed at Texas Instruments, Attleboro for forty-two years before retiring as a tooling engineer in 1986. George loved woodworking and had been an avid bowler for many years. Besides his wife, Dorothy, of twenty-nine years he leaves a daughter, Carol Ann McCarthy and a son, Robert Tetreault and his wife Vivian. He was the father-in-law of the late Robert McCarthy. Stepfather of Linda Courtemanche and her husband Harry, Michael Sullivan, and Daniel Sullivan and his wife Chau. Grandfather of Kevin McCarthy, Karen Rezendes, Kirk McCarthy, Steven Tetreault, Lauren DeRoy, Julie, Alycia, Sean, Michael and David Sullivan and the late James McCarthy. He also leaves six great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Jeannette Ferland and Helen Beaumariage. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland.
