Georgia's Obituary

Georgie Mae Burns went to be with the Lord Friday, December 5, 2025. Her faith in the Lord was her bedrock. She was quick to tell you that all of the Lord’s days were good, some just better than others.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Chester Silvey and Mother, Mary Elizabeth Silvey. Her brothers, Roy Silvey, Dennis Silvey, and Raymond Silvey. She was also preceded in death by her son in law, Gary McQuitty.

She had an extremely rich life. She looked at every day as an adventure. With her involved, it definitely was.

In her younger years, she loved to travel, camp on Black River, and cook extravagant meals for her family.

Some of her greatest joys were visiting with friends, spending time outside and fishing. Particularly on the days she out fished Beck and Earling. Her critters brought her immense pleasure.

Georgia was always quick with a smile, words of encouragement and a genuine concern about how you were doing. May we all be so lucky to have a friend that sincere.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Burns McQuitty, and her “boys”, JC Goebel, Daniel Kirn, and Mikey Morey. Her brother, William Silvey also survives.

She’ll be remembered for her loving demeanor, quick wit, and heart of gold. She will be missed more than she could ever imagine.

Private services will be held at a later date.
