Not sure what to say?

Jerry has always been of my favorite humans. Some of my fond memories of Jerry started when we were on strike. He was riding a little foldable bicycle from entrance to entrance to make sure that everybody was on target. He was an inspiration and a leader . I saw Jerry at social gatherings and was fortunate enough to be one of the people that got invited to his Michigan home. My husband and I just love going up there, it was so relaxing and so much fun. Judy and Jerry were the hostess with...

Jerry Bendle taught across the hall from me for fourteen years at Thornwood High School. We saw each other everyday. He was a fabulous teacher, kind hearted and student focused always. He was able to access a situation and see it from the student's perspective first. There was not a teacher at Thornwood that did not look up to Jerry as a true educational leader. It was honor to know him and learn from him. I will always treasure our friendship.

So sorry for your loss. My most heartfelt sympathy to you all. You are lucky to have had him so long, my Dad passed away 24 years ago. God Bless and comfort you all. Deb. Foster

Robert Bendle was a classmate and friend of mine in Homewood Public Schools. I didn't know Gerald but it is a fine family.

The Bendles moved in across the street when Amy was around 3 years old. She was so darn cute and I would carry her around like my baby sister who was too old to carry. My first baby sitting job was the Bendles. Mom used to call Gerry up and raz him about his Christmas decor or whatever he would do in the yard. They were good neighbors that were good friends. So sorry for your loss Scott, Brad and Amy. You are in my prayers.
