Gerald Bolyard Jr.

Gerald (Jerry) Bolyard Jr., 73, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2021 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jerry was born in Norfolk, VA to Gerald Bolyard Sr. and Sarah Jane Shingleton and was the youngest of six children. He spent his childhood growing up in Grafton, WV and Youngstown, OH.

Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army and a gifted artist. Jerry was previously married to Edna Drohn (Gillam) and Brenda Mikula. Preceding Jerry in death were his parents, Gerald Bolyard Sr. and Sarah Jane Kozlowsky, sisters, Helen Mason and Janet Burnham, and brother, Hayward (Spicy) Bolyard. Jerry is survived by his sisters, Delores (Dolly) Roman and Laura Dulworth, and his six children, MAJ (Ret.) Jeremy Bolyard, Jeffrey Bolyard, Thomas Mikula, twins Dianna Carnicom and Rena Clark, and Sonya Carrillo, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Funeral services with full military honors are scheduled for 11:00 AM on October 26, 2021 at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park in Bluffdale.
