Gerald's Obituaries

Gerald “Jerry” Fournier, 91, died Thursday October 23rd at Agawam South Rehab. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine (Lepine) Fournier in 2021. Gerald was born in Chicopee January 27, 1934, son of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Boudreau) Fournier. Jerry was educated in the Holyoke schools and was employed as a truck driver for Rogers Vans and Storage for 30 years and later for Peter Pan Bus Co. for 25 years. Gerald served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War obtaining the rank of SH2 before his honorable discharge. He is survived by his two sons; Ronald Fournier and Robert Fournier, four daughters; Linda Funk and her husband Denis, Rose Fournier and her husband James, Nancy Seymour and her husband Dale and Annmarie Hurley and her husband Paul, four grandchildren; Katie Fournier, Meg (Fournier) Chisholm, Eric Fournier and Julie (Fournier) Shildt, four great grandchildren; Aiden and Riley Fournier, Serenity Shildt and Finnegan Chisholm and one sister;  Anna May Dion and her husband Denis. The funeral for Gerald will be Tuesday October 28th at 9:00am from the O’Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley, MA followed by a funeral Mass in St. Anne Church, Fairview at 10:00am and burial in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Aldenville.
